WOMEN QUEST is an online magazine designed to inform, inspire, and encourage women to reach their full potential while mentoring and empowering others. Our writers’ aim is to showcase the hiding talent found in women while encouraging mentorship and empowerment opportunities.

You can expect to find stories about successful women, news, interviews and resources from across Ontario!

Meet the Team

  • Managing Editor

    Julia Tramontin

    Julia Tramontin is one of the Managing Editor of Women Quest. She is a Toronto Metropolitan University journalism graduate and future law student. She is particularly interested in storytelling as a vehicle for change. She has worked as a writer and editor on publications such as the Review of Journalism and Her Campus. When she’s not editing, she can be found hanging out with her cockapoo, Ollie, or with her nose in a book.

    Alisa Samuel

    Alisa majored in Professional Writing and Communication at the University of Toronto Mississauga where she served as Editor-in-Chief of Mindwaves Volume 15 and Compass Volume 9 and as Sports & Health Editor at The Medium. Currently in her third year with OLDF as a copyeditor, she has previously written for The Newcomer and Women’s Quest.

    Gabby Altman

    Gabby is a contributing writer for a variety of publications. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her traveling the world, trying new food and hanging out with her puppy named Mochi.

  • Creative Editor

    Hamid Siddiqi

    Hamid is the Creative Editor. He is currently studying a joint degree program at Carleton University and Algonquin College in Interactive Multimedia & Design. In his free time, he enjoys taking photos of nature or landscapes with his camera and learning new design techniques. He also loves to go out for runs and ride his bike.

    Priscilla Wiredu

    Priscilla is a writer for OLDF’s BlackVoices, Newcomer and WomensQuest programs. She is talented in her works pertaining to black culture and issues. She enjoys swimming, karaoke, and will be taking a Broadcasting college course in the fall.

    Lavanya Kathirgamanathan

    Lavanya Kathirgamanathan, who prefers to be called Lava, is a dedicated HR student with a robust background in journalism, a field she studied for four years. Her passion for storytelling and writing is evident in her work, including her food blog where she shares engaging content in her spare time. Currently, she is excited to bring her writing skills to OLDF, combining her journalism background with her HR expertise to make a meaningful contribution!
